Project Proponent/Partner: Philippine Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas-Luzon (PhilDHRRA-Luzon)
A research initiative related to the National-scale study on Sustainable and Integrated Development (SIAD) initiatives also proposed by PhilDHRRA, this one developed simplified models and tools for assessing and mapping Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) initiatives of civil society organizations and communities.
The methods of the research did not intimidate local communities, and instead even improved their understanding of CCA because of its localized context. Furthermore, the users were able to come up with preventive strategies instead of merely enumerating ways to respond to the impact of hazards and disasters.
(Developments and results from the research effort will be added as updates to this page once additional information from FPE’s implementing partners becomes available.)
