Project Goals and Objectives

The project basically aims to bring together local and international students, researchers and other major actors in the biodiversity conservation arena (once a year for three days) to exchange ideas and share fresh information on a wide range of topics relating to Philippine Biodiversity Conservation and to convene to assess, plan, strategize and coordinate current and future conservation work and research  projects of its members.

 

Outputs and Outcomes

The paper presentations focused on the various aspects of biodiversity conservation and human well-being with topics like legal policy and institutional framework for benefit sharing in the uplands, balancing biodiversity conservation and incomes of upland communities, biodiversity research and communities in the Babuyan Islands, and role of upland schools near forest in conservation.
