Project Goals and Objectives

The purpose of this proactive project is aimed to develop and manage a sites and site-focused program in line with 3-years regional operations plan. The sites and site-focused program will clearly define strategies and critical activities, which will be used as basis for the annual grant investment positioning and leveraging, prioritization of workloads, crafting of individual commitment plan, and bi-annual monitoring and evaluation.

Outputs and Outcomes

At least 1 Conservation Agreement forged with LGU, concerned GAs and other Stakeholders for each site-focused area; At least 1 Conservation Management Plan (CMP) finalized in each of site-focused area; At least 1 assisting NGO has been engaged by the Foundation for site-focused program implementation; At least 2 PO/IPO partners are capacitated on Community-Based Natural Resource Management and Project Proposal Development in each of the Luzon site-focused area; At least 10,000 hectares for reforestation site development and 20,000 hectares of existing forest cover for forest protection and enhancement are profiled; At least 4 community nurseries are established with at least 45,000 propagated indigenous/ native tree seedlings; At least 1 Technical Working Group is reactivated and/ or revitalized in each of the site-focused area, which will serve as platform for local BCSD; Advocates formations, creation of protection groups and instrument, and installation of EnDefense Program; and Lessons’ learned are culled out for knowledge products; A 3-year Operational Plan for Gigantes Site-Focused Area; A 3-Year Operational Plan for Mt. Nacolod Site-Focused Area; At least 2 SFM are developed in the Municipalities of Mahaplag and Abuyog, and in the Municipality of Carmen Cebu; Sustained involvement in Mt. Nacolod Development Councils and Apo Island, Siquijor, Technical Working Group; and Increased of at least X number of quality sites and site-focused project proposal submission. At least 1 Technical Working Group (TWG) formed for each Mindanao and Agusan River Basin Site-focused Areas; At least 1 recalibrated Conservation Management Plan (CMP) for ARB; At least 1 Conservation Management Plan and a 3-year Roadmap Plan for MRB; and Increased of at least X number of quality sites and site-focused project proposal submission
