Project Goals and Objectives
The IPSF aims to set the building blocks for sustainability among indigenous peoples' communities towards economic and political empowerment. Specifically, to strengthen IP leadership visioning for self-determination; to find building blocks for recognition and support of ancestral domain holders to protect ancestral land; and to develop skills in leadership and sustainability for IP leaders (men and women) focused on sustainable management options and wise use of ancestral land
Outputs and Outcomes
27 grants (of which 11 was supported by FPE) successfully processed, with total grants amounting to Php 5,240,608.17; supported the delineation of ancestral domain and processing of documentary requirements for Tagbanuas (Palawan), assisted Pulangiyon-Talaandig clan (Bukidnon) in their ancestral domain claim; funded a consultative conference on ancestral territory of Tinanaon tribe (Cotabato); helped Banwaons (Agusan del Sur) enter into an agreement with Green renewable Sources (GRAS); informal on-site trainings conducted during community facilitation and mentoring
