CSO National Consultation on the Management and Implementation of the GEF in the Philippines Held at the Crowne Plaza, Ortigas
Posted on May 23, 2017On May 23-24, 2017, more than 70 Civil Society Organizations (CSO), including indigenous peoples, people’s organizations, and academic and research institutions all over the country will convene at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Quezon City for the CSO National Consultation on the Management and Implementation of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) in the Philippines.

The national consultation aims to generate CSO inputs and recommendations on the GEF processes, including country prioritization and allocation. The activity also intends to serve as an avenue for the CSOs to get to know and better understand key GEF stakeholders.

This activity is co-organized by the Foundation for the Philippine Environment (FPE), Clean Air Asia, Ateneo School of Government (ASOG), Philippine Tropical Forest Conservation Foundation (PTFCF), WWF – Philippines, Haribon Foundation, Conservation International Philippines, Ban Toxics, with funding support from PTFCF, FPE and UNDP-SGP5.
The GEF CSO Consultation is part of the First Biodiversity Congress organized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), United Nations Development Program, and other groups, from May 22-24, 2017.
