[EXTENDED!] Call for Entries: Sarihay Media Awards 2014 Open for Entries until November 15, 2014

The Foundation for the Philippine Environment’s very first Sarihay Media Awards is now open for entries! Those who are interested to join may now access the official competition mechanics, entry application form, and campaign poster via the links provided below.
FPE, the country’s first and largest non-government grant facility for the environment and sustainable community development, recognizes the important role that mainstream media plays in promoting awareness and better understanding of environmental and sustainable development issues among policymakers, decision makers, and the public. So, in an effort to both acknowledge and reward outstanding and responsible reportage of environmental issues, as well as insightful opinion and commentary on the subject matter, the Foundation is introducing its very first awards campaign for the media.
All Filipino print, broadcast, and online journalists, photojournalists, and bloggers are invited to participate in the competition. Campus journalists in the college level are also qualified to send in entries for a certain award categories.
[UPDATED, 10/14/2014] The Sarihay Media Awards competition period will run from February 1, 2014 until November 15, 2014. The final deadline for all entries is on November 15, 2014.
The first Sarihay Media Awards is presented in collaboration with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Biodiversity Management Bureau (DENR-BMB), Department of Environment and Natural Resources - Public Affairs Office (DENR-PAO), Miriam College – Environmental Studies Institute, Philippine Tropical Forest Conservation Foundation, Inc. (PTFCF), and Tanggol Kalikasan, Inc.
