FPE Board Appoints New Executive Director

Mr. Oliver Agoncillo, new FPE Executive Director.
The Foundation for the Philippine Environment (FPE) Board of Trustees announces the appointment of Mr. Oliver O. Agoncillo as the Foundation’s new Executive Director, effective August 2016.
Prior to joining the FPE, Mr. Agoncillo worked for more than 13 years with the United States Agency for International Development/Philippines (USAID/P) as its Natural Resources Policy Advisor and Biodiversity/NRM Team Leader in USAID Office of Environment, Energy, and Climate Change. He was research associate at the Ateneo de Manila’s Institute of Philippine Culture for the Ford Foundation-funded community-based natural resources management (CBNRM) national assessments. He started his development work with the Congress for A People’s Agrarian Reform (CPAR) as its research and information officer and later served as program development, monitoring and evaluation manager of the Upland NGO Assistance Committee (UNAC).
Mr. Agoncillo has masters’ degrees in Environmental Management and Development (Australian National University) and Social Development (Ateneo de Manila University) through scholarship awards from the Australian government and Ford Foundation, respectively.
