FPE to Join in CCP's Earth Day Festivities on April 13
Posted on April 7, 2014An entire day of enjoyment and learning awaits everyone at the CCP Complex in Pasay, Metro Manila this Sunday, April 13, 2014, as the Cultural Center of the Philippines celebrates "Earth Day: Everyday, Everywhere for Everyone." FPE is participating in the event as one of the exhibitors and is inviting everyone to come and join in the fun!
Celebrate Earth Day with FPE at the CCP Complex this Sunday, April 13, 2014!
Promoting and advocating a "green city" through participation in and the use of "green arts," CCP's Earth Day festivities kicks off at 6:00 AM and will stage various activities, presentations, and exhibits to inform, engage, and inspire guests to be more proactive and responsible in taking care of our bountiful, yet also delicate planet. Below are some of the highlight events that you can expect to see and participate in this coming Sunday:
- Fun Run at 6:00 AM.
- Opening Program at 7:00 AM, featuring performances by Ballet Philippines and noted ventriloquist Wanlu.
- Various exhibits and art installations, featuring FPE, Haribon Foundation, Bureau of Plant Industries, Philippine Art Educators Association, and many more.
- Yoga, dance, kendo, and arnis classes by The Gentle Warriors.
- Kite flying with the Kite Association of the Philippines.
- Workshops on grafting and the use of biochar, as well as on storytelling and the performance arts.
The day's events will be bookended by the lighting of the Art Installation during the closing program at 6:00 PM.
