New Regional Advisory Committee Members Elected
Posted on October 31, 2014New sets of Regional Advisory Committee (RAC) members from Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao were elected in the recent FPE General Assembly and will be serving until June 2016.
The RAC is a 15-member committee that ensures regional representation in the FPE governance system. They give advice on policies, program development and governance to the FPE Board. They also provide a crucial link between the Board and the regions from where they come from by apprising issues, concerns and affirmative actions of the CSOs.

Luzon
The new RAC members are composed of Vernie Diano (re-elected) and Jane Lingbawan-Yap-eo representing the Cordillera Administrative Region; Arlene Lu-Gonzales (re-elected) and Miriam Talla Nogalo-Javier for Region I; Ronald Barnacha (re-elected) and Julie Sarmiento for Region II; Lorena Rivera-Villareal and Amiella Marie Salazar for Region III; Rei Panaligan and Fatima Castillo for the National Capital Region; Enrico C. Arvesu, Abdelwin Sangkula and Carlito Aquino for Region V; and Sonia R. Vargas and Salvacion Pernito for Region V.

Visayas
The committe is composed of Alvir Esguerra Bausa, Fr. Brian Gore, Reynic S. Alo, Virginia Jontillano, and Ellen Alado representing Region VI; Leo G. Mamicpic, Elsie P. Viliran, Oliver Gimenez (re-elected), Pat Ruiz, and Nancy Estolloso for Region VII; and Rev. Fr. Fred I. Placa, Marissa Miguel Caño, Josefa Pizon (re-elected), Vincent Avila, and Hermie Sanchez (re-elected) for Region VIII.

Mindanao
New Mindanao RAC members include Bernardo Liwanan Limikid and Raizsa Mae Anayatin representing Davao-Compostella Valley bioregion; Aproniano Panorel and Maria Benita Clamonte for Zamboanga-Misamis Occidental bioregion; Nancita Morgado Cullano and Tinty Irriberi for Caraga bioregion; Ryan Vidanes and Sis. Susan Bolaño for South Cotabato-Sarangani-General Santos bioregion; Aveen Acuña Gulo and Nashrudin Kusain for Maguindanao-North Cotabato-Sultan Kudarat bioregion; Estelita Sivano Eguia and Marilou Elago for Zamboanga-Basilan-Sulu-Tawi-Tawi bioregion; Amenodin Tanog Ali and Charlie Trozo for Lanao Provinces; and Imelda Manginsay for Camiguin-Bukidnon-Misamis Oriental bioregion.
The election and ceremonial turnover of RAC Coordinators and the first meeting of the RAC members were held last August 21-24 in Cebu City for the Visayas, October 21-22 in Quezon City for Luzon, and November 3 to 4 in Davao City for Mindanao.
