From May 13-29, 2024, experts, policymakers, and stakeholders from around the world gathered at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) quarters in Nairobi, Kenya for the 26th Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA 26) and 4th Subsidiary Body on Implementation (SBI 4) meetings. The meetings provided opportunities for participants to exchange insights, share their diverse experiences, and collaboratively craft strategies to address the pressing challenges of global biodiversity conservation.  READ MORE

Dolphins and Fisherfolk Sue for the Right to Live

The dolphins seemed more comfortable, swimming, gliding and leaping, when a group of NGOs visited their habitat in the Tañon Strait in May 2008. It was not so six months previously, when the dolphins and other marine mammals, assisted by environmental lawyers, went to court to sue intruders to their habitat.
