Balinsasayaw Twin-Lakes Farmers Association, Inc. (BTLFAI) awarded grant by FPE
Posted on January 6, 2020On December 23, 2019, the Visayas Regional Operations (VRO) of the Foundation for the Philippine Environment represented by its Regional Operations Manager, facilitated the first release of the PhP100,000 grant award to the officers of the Balinsasayaw Twin-Lakes Farmers Association, Inc. (BTLFAI). The BTLFAI was recognized as a performing people’s organizations in Visayas which sustained the conservation and management of the Balinsasayaw Twin-Lakes Natural Park located in Barangay Enrique Villanueva, Sibulan, Negros Oriental

The Project “Sustaining the Gains in the Conservation of Fern Species by the Balinsasayaw Twin-Lake Farmers Association through Livelihood” intended to scale up BTLFAI’s ecotourism livelihood through the promotion of its fernery, introduce new fern food products, promote fern conservation among tourists, and improve the knowledge of members on fern propagation. The project provided to the organization while ensuring the conservation and sustainability of fern species in the area.
