Understanding Climate Rationale and Developing Climate Change Portfolio with and for CSOs: The FPE Experience
Posted on November 18, 2020The FPE has successfully initiated the learning sessions on climate financing and climate rationale as well as inputs to crafting of project portfolio on climate change for submission to the Green Climate Fund (GCF) as its seeks accreditation as a Direct Access Entity. Through a series of CSO consultations on GCF in 2019, FPE gathered a total of 157 people from National to Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao islands. One hundred thirty three (133) leaders representing 111 CSOs discussed about climate rationale and how does one differentiate “traditional” biodiversity conservation initiatives to factor in the new realities brought about by a changing climate.

Posted on April 29, 2020The formulation of the participatory 5-year Gigantes Island CMP, as well as the Unified Marine Protected Area Management Plan, the Sustainable Tourism Management Plan, and the Cave and Cave Resources Management Plan shall be participatory, literature review of previous and existing plans, previous studies, and existing policies at the barangay level to the provincial levels, as appropriate.

Posted on January 6, 2020On December 23, 2019, the Visayas Regional Operations (VRO) of the Foundation for the Philippine Environment represented by its Regional Operations Manager, facilitated the first release of the PhP100,000 grant award to the officers of the Balinsasayaw Twin-Lakes Farmers Association, Inc. (BTLFAI). The BTLFAI was recognized as a performing people’s organizations in Visayas which sustained the conservation and management of the Balinsasayaw Twin-Lakes Natural Park located in Barangay Enrique Villanueva, Sibulan, Negros Oriental
